Trump Entertainment, Creditors Say Trump Taj Mahal to Close

Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc.’s last remaining Atlantic City boardwalk casino, the Trump Taj Mahal, is almost certainly going to close, lawyers said Friday.

”We intend to close the facility at the Taj Mahal on Dec. 12,” Trump Entertainment lawyer Kris Hansen told a bankruptcy judge. A meeting has been set for Monday with New Jersey officials who have so far turned a cold shoulder to the gambling company’s pleas for a $175 million bailout package.

Creditor representatives are unhappy but resigned to the likelihood another casino on the distressed Atlantic City Boardwalk will go dark.

Reliance Entertainment aims to buy US, European game studios

India's Reliance Entertainment plans to begin acquiring North American and European mobile game studios starting in early 2015, in hopes of becoming a significant global player in the fast-growing mobile games industry.

The company, which is the biggest stakeholder in DreamWorks Studios, is in talks with bankers to identify and acquire up-and-coming mobile game studios in North America and Europe to boost sales, chief executive Manish Agarwal told Reuters in a phone interview.

Spackman Entertainment to Acquire Korea’s Novus Media

HONG KONG — Media investor Spackman Entertainment Group is to buy Novus Media, a Korean film investor and ancillary distributor.

Spackman, which is listed in Singapore and is connected to Toronto-based Spackman Equities, said that it had signed a memorandum to acquire 51% or more of Novus. But it did not disclose the value of the transaction.

A Comedy Night Benefit for Paula Schwarte, R.N., will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Moose Lodge, 5247 Taylor Mill Road.

The lodge is a mile south of the Taylor Mill Road and I-275 exit 79. Cost is $25 in advance or $30 at the door.
