‘Gone Girl’ Wins Big at Hollywood Awards

The mystery-thriller “Gone Girl” took home the top prize at the 2014 Hollywood Film Awards on Friday night in Los Angeles. But while an array of Hollywood A-listers, including Angelina Jolie, Ben Affleck and Johnny Depp, showed up for the event’s first televised ceremony, audiences at home did not. A man in his 50s found dead near a hiking trail in the Hollywood Hills on Monday morning was believed to have killed himself, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
