They suggest that Vermaelen would look to maintain his current wage of £70,000-a-week with whichever club he joins.
The Daily Express also say that Liverpool look to have missed out on the signing of Antoine Griezmann, with the winger set to join Atletico Madrid after a fee for the 23-year old was agreed.
