The actress, 34, and husband James Heerdegen recently welcomed their first child, a son, PEOPLE confirms.
Further details, including his name and birthdate, are not available, and a rep for Ricci has not commented.Ricci and Heerdegen met on the set of her former show Pan Am, where Heerdegen was working as a camera technician.
They went public in February 2012 and announced their engagement a year later. “I can’t wait [to call him] ‘Husband’,” Ricci told PEOPLE prior to the wedding.
The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Manhattan’s Harold Pratt House & Peterson Hall in October.
Ricci’s rep confirmed her pregnancy to PEOPLE in May when the actress was spotted cruising through LAX wearing a dress belted over her burgeoning baby belly.
