Meryl Streep has been taking guitar lessons in preparation for upcoming film Ricki and the Flash.
The Oscar-winning star will play a struggling rocker in the movie. All music featured will be played and sang by the cast.
Screenwriter Diablo Cody told The Hollywood Reporter: "The reason we haven't shot the movie yet is Meryl's been learning to play. Watching her come along has been really inspiring."

In Ricki and the Flash, Streep's character will attempt to reconcile with her neglected kids.
Mamie Gummer, the real-life daughter of the actress, will be starring alongside her mother in the role of one of the children.
Streep will also appear in Disney's Into the Woods, as a wicked witch who curses a childless couple. Watch a trailer below:
