New Lollapalooza, same celebrity attendees

There are a lot of famous names in town for Lollapalooza weekend – and many of them are repeat customers.

Ed Westwick ("Gossip Girl") took in the Lolla festivities in 2010 with ex-girlfriend Jessica Szohr and is back this year, only this time with Mark Salling ("Glee"). The two actors had dinner Friday at RPM Italian with Claire Holt ("The Originals") and then hung out at Paris Club Bistro & Bar’s upstairs club, Studio Paris.

Like Salling, Jennie Garth (“90210”) returned for the second straight year. She dined Friday at Beatrix, as did pop star Joe Jonas, separately. Jonas DJed the Hard Rock Hotel Sound of Your Stay Music Lounge party later that night.

Kellan Lutz dined Friday at Hub 51 while enjoying Lolla weekend for the third time in four years. His “Twilight” co-star, Ashley Greene, appeared Thursday at the W Chicago - Lakeshore hotel's renovation reveal party. She told me she was more excited about sight-seeing in Chicago this weekend than the parties. “I’m boring,” said Greene, who had hoped to take in the architecture boat tour and dine at Girl & the Goat.

I lost track of how many Lolla weekends singer Ryan Cabrera and brothers Danny and Chris Masterson have been a part of. Cabrera DJed Friday at Ay Chiwowa and is scheduled to DJ Saturday at Rockit Bar & Grill. Chris (“Malcolm in the Middle”) and sister Alanna Masterson (“The Walking Dead”) had drinks Friday at Three Dots and a Dash, where Chris is scheduled to DJ Saturday. Alanna had dinner Friday at Ramen-san. Danny (“That 70s Show”) dined Thursday at RPM Italian with former ESPN X Games personality Sal Masekela and director Joe Russo (“Captain America”) and DJed Friday at Rockit.

Chicago’s own Michael Pena (“End of Watch”) took in Masekela’s pop up album listening party Thursday at Hub 51’s lower level club, Sub 51. Pena – you guessed it – was here in 2012 for Lolla.

Josh Henderson (“Dallas”) is on hand for the third straight year, giving him the Lolla hat trick. Henderson dined Friday at Hub 51 and sat alongside Nelly after the St. Louis rapper performed a 25-minute set in the early hours of Saturday at The Underground.
