Photos: Your Favorite TV Shows & Movies Reimagined As Children's Little Golden Book Covers

Artist Joey Spiotto's love for popular TV shows like Lost and films like Back to the Future got him to reimagine them as if they were children book covers—like those Little Golden Books we used to read as kids.

If you're feeling nostalgic, we are, too. In his solo art show at Gallery 1988 (East) that runs from August 1 to August 16, you can catch some of his adorable recreations of these beloved pop icons, like seeing Breaking Bad's Walter White and Jesse Pinkman happily cooking meth in Spiotto's children's book version, titled "Cooking With Mister White," to The X-Files' Agent Fox Mulder smiling and throwing his hands in the air in "I Want To Believe."

"I've been a fan of taking something that's not necessarily kid friendly, and turning into something that is age appropriate for children," Spiotto tells LAist. "My other series I do is taking similar movies/TV shows and turning them into retro children's vinyl record covers. I'm drawn to things that I loved as a child and things I now love as an adult and combining them."

The 34-year-old artist who's from Los Angeles worked on films like The Polar Express before he ventured into the video game world as a concept artist for Electronic Arts. He's worked on games like The Sims 3, Dead Space, and The Simpsons Game before he decided to move on to freelance work. He recently released the first children's book he's ever illustrated, "Attack! Boss! Cheat Code! A Gamer's Alphabet"; it's an ABC book about video games.
