Heritage Museum of Montgomery County
Located inside Candy Cane Park at 1506 I-45 N in Conroe, the Heritage Museum of Montgomery County has numerous indoor and outdoor exhibits.

Frank Johnson, author of "Montgomery County Texas CSA," which is the most comprehensive history every written of the Confederate soldiers from our county, will be signing his books at the Heritage Museum on July 19 from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. His book will be available for purchase at that time.

Meet many of our County’s pioneers, including Dr. Charles Stewart, creator of the Texas flag, and George W. Strake, whose oil discovery turned Conroe into a “rip-roaring” boomtown.

CALL FOR ARTIST DESIGNSThe deadline for artist submissions for the redesign of a couple of the downtown Conroe Art Benches is Aug. 15. 60-Plus Dance Group

The next dance is July 19 featuring The Loose Change Band at the Conroe Activity Center, 1202 Callahan Ave. Conroe.

Donny Edwards “A True Tribute to Elvis”

Donny Edwards will be making his second appearance at the Crockett Civic Center on July 19. Recently he was selected by 'Elvis Presley Enterprises' as the first and only Elvis tribute artist to perform on the estate of Graceland. Donny has the looks, the moves and the voice. He will take you through the early years and Elvis' 70s concert years. Donny is a two-time world champion Elvis tribute artist. Recently he was a top 3 finalist on ABC's "The Next Best Thing."

Special guest performer will be Dion Pride (son of Charley Pride).

The concert is at 7 p.m.

Fronting these performers will be the eight-member band Fever.
